ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Here at Allen Lyman we proudly display our carbon footprint. We may not be able to save the world but we certainly know how to help. We show a strong commitment to corporate responsibility and do everything possible to make our company as sustainable as we can.

GREEN GUIDELINES

We do a number of things to help the environment; you can also follow these green guidelines to reduce your carbon footprint:

• Our drivers make less delivery trips to reduce emissions.
• Ensure that the last person who leaves the office turns off all the lights.
• Print and photocopy on both sides of the page.
• Turn the heating down and wear extra clothes if needed.
• Turn off all PC’s when they aren’t being used.
• Use the economy setting on printers.
• Re-use various items such as envelopes, folders and paperclips.
• Communicate through e-mail rather then paper correspondent.
• Use re-manufactured toner cartridges.
• Use ceramic mugs instead of disposable cups.
• Recycle toner cartridges, paper and waste products.
• Consolidating orders to reduce packaging.
• Don’t print off e-mails unless absolutely necessary. At Allen Lyman we help by leaving a friendly message at the end of our e-mails. E.g. Please help to reduce your carbon footprint by not printing out this e-mail unless absolutely necessary.

GREEN GOODS

Due to the increased focus and pressures on helping to improve our environment, we have introduced a large range of environmentally friendly office supplies.
